Wycombe Sinfonia generally performs an annual pattern of three concerts:

  • January Children’s Concert – a fun introduction to the orchestra with themed music, fancy dress and plenty of children’s participation.
  • May Concert – part of the Wycombe Arts Festival, this concert often includes an overture, a concerto with an international soloist, and a symphony.
  • October concert – this can take a variety of forms: a concerto concert featuring young or local soloists, a themed programme, or a selection of favourite pieces we would like to share with you.

Regular audience members can save money on their tickets and enjoy reserved seating by joining our Patrons Scheme.

Future Concerts

With regret, the January 2021 Children’s Concert has been cancelled due to the virus. If you were looking forward to hearing music about cats and dogs, the theme will be applied to the next Children’s Concert on 16th January 2022.

We are hoping that the next concert will be on 22nd May 2021, to include:

  • Bizet – Petite Suite, Jeux d’Enfants
  • R Strauss – Horn Concerto No1 (soloist – Laurence Davies)
  • Beethoven – Symphony No 7

Previous Concerts

The family concert often requires a narrator. We have been pleased to welcome a variety of talented individuals including some with TV reputations such as our president Colin Baker, Johnny Morris, Bill Oddie, Ian McCaskill, Michael Fish and others.
